    Service Caps and Badges

Dan, I am sorry but you are showing a modern Royal Signals badge. In WW! the Sigs were a branch of the Royal Engineers. In WW2 their badge was within a circlet not free standing.

White Rose Xmas Bash a big thank you

Thanks for your hospitality Ian, it was a brilliant day. I don't know about others but looking at the displays today made me want to give up. Or, grit my teeth and say 'you must do better'. Looking forward to next year already. Once again thanks for a great day.

    Maj. Lassen

Hi Hugo, I think you make a mistake about Lassen's death. He was killed at Lake Commachio in Italy and is buried there. I have seen the bust to him in the English Garden in Copenhagen but was unable to get photo.

    This is unsettling.

The article says in waters off the Scottish coast but then does not say how far off. With our paranoia it was probably some distance off in international waters. Another stupid scare similar to the Russian bombers off the British coast which were in international air space. Having to rely on...

    High on my wishlist

It may interest you to know that Ken Farrar did a bust of Natalya Meklin as well as a 120mm fig of Roza Shanina which he may possibly still have some left. Cheers Tom
