For the artist who has everything...almost

You mean the face mask and goggles didn't tip you off? I have sharpened a few pencils in my life and needless to say I must live on the edge not to have thought to wear proper protective gear when doing so. And $12 - 15 to sharpen a $.25 pencil? I wonder what he charges to squeeze paint out...

For the artist who has everything...almost

Of course it is a joke. Look at the picture of him sharpening a pencil wearing protective goggles and a face mask. You can buy an electric pencil sharpener for about $25 that makes a perfect point in seconds.

Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, Baneling

Just curious, but why start with a small detail instead of getting a sense of the overall creature first?

1/35 FIGURES (not WWII or modern)

I think Model Cellar made a few 1/35 WWI figures but that is the only other non WWII figures I know of.

    BRAVO-6 "USMC M60 Team"

Is it possible to show some in-progress steps of your sculpting. It is exceptional. Are you using references for the clothing folds as they are outstanding.

    French Zouvae Question 1840-1841

If you are trying to match the color in the prints then yours is a cool green. The illustration is a warm green meaning it is tending to olive. Mix yellow ocher and black to get an olive color. If it is too yellow mix a little medium blue but not a lot. You may need to add a little white to...

    Senegalese Tirailleur Gallipoli 1915

Just as a historical point I had no idea that a Senagalese contingent was at Gallipoli. Any information on that? I read Alan Morehead's book many, many years ago but do not recall any mention of them. ETA: Never mind. I just googled and found some info.

    sculpting tehniqe

Personally I sculpt with Aves Apoxy and occasionally Kneadatite for certain things. I have never had much success with the oven fired clays like Cernit despite getting great advice from Mike Good who is in fact is a sculpting "god" and extremely talented fellow though he would be the last to...

    sculpting tehniqe

First of all this is a very broad subject and secondly there is no one way to sculpt or materials to use. I suggest that you educate yourself first by reading the extensive threads here under the forum title "Sculpting." From there you can start to get an understanding of how individuals...

    Completed Critique French Sapper, 1870

I would take it to Tulsa. It is better to have people see it in person so you can get some great critical feedback if you want. Also, I don't think you would mind picking up a medal for it. I noticed you left the Chassepot off. Any particular reason?
