Elvis was a true showman, taken in his prime. Although I’m not an avid fan of his music, I do like “Suspicious Minds” & “In The Ghetto” - both tracks make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!

Another nice one, Peter. Agree with previous comments re the scarlet, nice interpretation & your assessment of the pose is spot on - it’s a bit stiff but it still looks an enjoyable figure to paint; British Napoleonic uniforms can be a challenge but rewarding when done as well as this.

Superb. Alpine figures are all crisp sculpts, & you've really done them justice with your painting here.

Excellent paintwork - like the worn metal effect on the helmet rim, often seen in photos of British airborne troops of the period.

My old man used to guard the Leas Cliff Hall (it was a dance hall then) as an infantryman in 2/5th Sherwood Foresters in 1941/42, when the invasion threat was still quite real, although when Hitler marched east the threat began to recede. I would have loved to have taken him there on my visits...
