Elvis was a true showman, taken in his prime. Although I’m not an avid fan of his music, I do like “Suspicious Minds” & “In The Ghetto” - both tracks make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!

    120mm British Officer, Waterloo

Another nice one, Peter. Agree with previous comments re the scarlet, nice interpretation & your assessment of the pose is spot on - it’s a bit stiff but it still looks an enjoyable figure to paint; British Napoleonic uniforms can be a challenge but rewarding when done as well as this.

WIP Culloden charge - 1/16 Miniart Conversion.

    54mm Chota Sahib - 1 REP Algiers 1957

Outstanding in all aspects, especially the camo. As mentioned above, it's great to see Sid Horton's work live on with examples as good as this.

    Dog of War

    Brilliant! Love it to bits(y)

Hürtgen Forest 1944 vignette - Alpine Figures and a Jeep!

Superb. Alpine figures are all crisp sculpts, & you've really done them justice with your painting here.

1/32 British Para, Ranville 1944 - SK Miniatures

Excellent paintwork - like the worn metal effect on the helmet rim, often seen in photos of British airborne troops of the period.

    Got me Thinking

My old man used to guard the Leas Cliff Hall (it was a dance hall then) as an infantryman in 2/5th Sherwood Foresters in 1941/42, when the invasion threat was still quite real, although when Hitler marched east the threat began to recede. I would have loved to have taken him there on my visits...

    Completed Sgt Kings Liverpool Regiment

Very impressive, Jed - like the uniform colours & shading, & the scratchbuilt trench is outstanding! Nice one mate.

    Modelling WW1 Trench Warfare

Nice to see some preview pics, Andy. I've already got a copy plus other items on order from Darren, & seeing these has made it even more eagerly awaited! Congratulations on a fine piece of work.

    2nd NBB - Normandy 1944

A fantastic piece, & particularly relevant in view of the recent anniversary.

    Iraq bomb disposal 1:35

Excellent work, Robert. Modern uniforms can be as tricky to paint as Napoleonics, & you’ve shaded this perfectly. Great groundwork too!

    Rosie the Riveter

Excellent work Kurt, & a great reminder that WW2 was indeed total war with all involved.

Another sidebar to this piece of history: There is a long out of print book, still available on the second hand market if you do some digging, called “A Higher Form of Killing”. Published in the 1980s, it’s a history of chemical & biological warfare in the 20th Century. One of the chapters...
