    Hi friki people!!

Nice handle! Welcome to the Planet, Nacho! I look forward to seeing your other works. Prost! Brad

Completed Officer of Dragoons Franco Prussian War.

I just noticed something. You use a cork as a holder. But all this time, looking at your close-ups, I have seen that as a finished base surface, like ground cover. You could probably paint that surface with some dirt tones, and it'll look like you spent days with some Woodland Scenics products...

    Review Hawk's Miniatures, miniature brushes.

Unless I'm mistaken, PVA, also known as white glue, is water-soluable. I would use something waterproof, CA glue or better, 2-part epoxy. Prost! Brad

WIP Attack on La Haye Sainte at Waterloo in 28mm

I wish stuff like this was available to me when I was a kid and painting Airfix sets. The selection was relatively limited. Every time I read the American Heritage book on Waterloo, and looked at the pictures, I'd say to myself, "Where are all these other figures?!" Prost! Brad

    Hi

Welcome to the hobby and to the Planet, Robert! That's a nice introductory post, too, well done! I look forward to seeing more of your work. Best regards, Brad

Completed Officer of Dragoons Franco Prussian War.

Great progress, Simon! As others have noted, it's a great casting, and your adjustment to the pose gives him a bit of an attitude, too. Prost! Brad

Prussian Ensign Standard Bearer of 2°Regiment of Infantry, 1756

With just some minor changes in colors, and maybe some minor modifications to the casting, you could paint him for more than one regiment, too. Prost! Brad

Scott of the Antarctic (SBS) build movie

But where is Mrs. Scott of the Antarctic, and the trench she stood in? :D Prost! Brad

    Piracy

I report items all the time. I'll add the name of the maker, individual or company, eg, "This is a copy of a figure made by Lincoln Wright/Scale120". But it feels much like the story of King Canute's ministers, trying the beat back the ocean. Also, it would be helpful if they acknowledged the...

Prussian Ensign Standard Bearer of 2°Regiment of Infantry, 1756

Finally! I've been waiting for new Seven Years War items. I will have to look at this one. The style reminds me a little of Peipp, especially the face and expression. Prost! Brad

    Out-standing, Adrian! Prost! Brad

    Hydra Models Wood bases

If it's the same Hydra Models, they have a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/hydramodels/ but I know some are averse to using FB. But if you do, it's worth a try sending them a message via their page. The website listed on the FB page, http://www.hydramodels.com/, doesn't load for...

    Figure/modelling shows?

If you ever make your way over here, to the US, we have several dedicated figure shows, forming a circuit throughout the year. The Atlanta Military Figure Society's show comes up first, in February. Our show, the Miniature Figure Collectors of America (MFCA) Show and Mart will take place May...

    US tank crew Vietnam War

He reminds me a little of the actor Andy Robinson. "Just me and a busload of kids, going for a ride..." Prost! Brad

    Waterloo - the truth?

It sounds interesting; I'll have to get a copy. It sounds like it doesn't change fundamental ideas about the battle, though, in the way that "Shattered Sword" revises our understanding of the Battle of Midway. It sounds rather like it corrects or clarifies opinions or conclusions held about...

    Completed Forward Observers

Y'know, Simon, I've always suspected that they use the same paint in both catalogs, and just re-name them according to the genre. Like khaki for Model Color, "Elf Barf" for gaming, and so on. :D Prost! Brad

WIP 40mm Maison du Roi Cavalerie, 1750's

Hey, it worked for Madame Desfontaines, right? I've used foil instead of putty for an application like this, too. I....figured, that it gives me a better scale thickness, and durability in that thickness, than putty. I still will use putty, too, but it's certainly an arrow in my quiver...

    Program for labels

Yeah, I've just used Word to make labels. Not as fancy, perhaps, as commercially-prepared ones, but they suit me just fine. Prost! Brad

    Completed Cat fight

Not quite what I expected! :D It's a cool subject and project! I admire your skill at painting the stripes. Prost! Brad
