Wanting to Buy Maurice Corry 75mm Figures

Specifically looking for Crimea War figures. Anyone have some they're willing to part with? Jim Patrick

W & N Red Sable Miniture Brushes Replacement

A Colt 45 would be far more effective. More ammo plus you get the "shock and awe" value. Throw some hollow point ammo into the equation and you're practically Terminator. Not sure of what the effect of saying "I'll be back" would have... Jim Patrick

Another plastic Napoleonic figure in view

So there you have it. It can be a Hussar! A word of caution. Be careful which regiment you choose and check your references. By far, the absolute BEST reference for French Napoleononic figures is Lucien Rousselot. Get his book or the color plates. It is THE reference. I guess it could still be...

Another plastic Napoleonic figure in view

Is that a Hussar or Chasseur a Cheval? Looks like parts of the two were mixed together. It is plastic though so it should be an easy fix. I'm not so sure Hussars had the crowned eagle on the saddle blanket and sabretache. But I'm not around my reference. Jim Patrick

    Nutsplanet`s new release 'U.S 101 AIRBONE'

Just so everyone knows, Martin and I took our differences to PM. Funny part was we were upset with each other but both talking about the exact same thing. I think it's safe to say we're both in agreement on the subject in question (and that I have to quit accessing pF on my phone!). I stand by...

    Nutsplanet`s new release 'U.S 101 AIRBONE'

"Get over it"? What the hell? Look, you're obviously the expert. Just go with it. But the pictures posted earlier were from Holland. Look at the uniforms. It's a dead give away. See how many other pics you can find. Guys? What in the hell is going on?! I post something saying I wish...

    Nutsplanet`s new release 'U.S 101 AIRBONE'

Anyway, it wasn't my intention to stir up a s@&t storm. Just pointing out a very common mistake that photographic evidence proves otherwise. If Hollywood is the basis, then title it as such. But if you call it a historical piece, then expect this. By the way, I didn't point out inaccuracies with...

    Nutsplanet`s new release 'U.S 101 AIRBONE'

The "white fluid" on the helmet was there to cover up rank and unit markings. Interesting though as the consor missed at least one unit patch. Jim Patrick

This is the best site out there for reference on the 101st airborne in WWII. http://www.101airborneww2.com/uniforms.html Jim Patrick

    Nutsplanet`s new release 'U.S 101 AIRBONE'

Anyway, I never said it's a horrible figure. Just pointing a very common mistake most manufactures make. Didn't realize I was going "against the grain". That used to be what pF was about. I see that's changed... Noted. Jim Patrick

    Nutsplanet`s new release 'U.S 101 AIRBONE'

Just a heads up. That picture is from Holland if I'm not mistaken. It was worn some there but not as common as some might think. Jim Patrick

    Nutsplanet`s new release 'U.S 101 AIRBONE'

LOL! If I "ever served"?! Perhaps you would be better ASKING that instead of ass/u/me. Last time I checked I served 23 years and 17 days. Just saying... If photographs were checked, you would see it was not worn on the helmet at Normandy. At least none that I have seen. If this is in fact based...

    Nutsplanet`s new release 'U.S 101 AIRBONE'

It would be soooooo nice if manufactures would stop putting the first aid pack on the helmet! Look at photographs, it's not there. Everything else looks good. But the aid pack wasn't worn there. Unless Hollywood is your reference... Jim Patrick

    Moderating

I will say this about moderating. 90-95% of what they do is never seen. And yes, they get bombarded with complaints. Most of what they get are never acted upon. It's handled behind the scenes. At times mods can come across heavy handed. Most of the time it's because of things they are privy to...

    Wanted Paint Sets

I know opinions vary on this subject from they're great to a waste. I personally like them. But this isn't about whether we like them or not. Its more in line with some paint sets we want to see. For me, it's a khaki paint set. Nearly every figure, regardless of genre, uses some shade of...
