Hi all, I think this one is done bar at plaque. It depicts a trooper of the East Riding Yeomanry enjoying a brew in Palestine in 1917. Sculpted by me, head from Redees, hands from royal model and a pair of 3d printed boots with putters. Overall fun and I learned a lot, although it’ll be a while before I stop seeing all the flaws.

It's a grand piece mate no doubt about it, never dwell on the perceived faults because they are lessons learnt, the satisfaction you will get from not doing them again is the real joy. A cracking job you should be justifiably proud of.

Cheers Simon

That's a really good effort and a very special unique piece. The subject matter strikes a chord with me as my grandfather was in Palestine in the Yeomanry Mounted Division, although he was in the 8th Brigade rather than the 6th (which is what the ERY were in).

It's great to make a piece, to go to the end of the adventure and to paint it. Progress will come quickly with learning, you already have great qualities, tenacity and the courage to create.
