2nd figure is done, I just need to fit the MG magazine drum and mount then I can fix him in ready for final weathering and finishing touches.

Face is acrylic flat flesh with variable oil mixes blended on. Eyes are acrylic.

I need to finish the riders eyebrows too but will do it last with the finishing touches.

Hi Dave

Boy he looks so right in place , camo looks great , you’ve nailed the facial work on the gunner and variation with the driver as well

Thanks for sharing the updates

Looking forward to seeing more

Happy benchtime

Superb. You have really brought out the expression on the machine gunner with your paintwork, absolutely spot on!

Excellent progress there Dave, you Oakleaf camouflage looks superb. I hate to say it, but I do so because I know you appreciate constructive comment, but I think the light dots on the Pea dot camo need a bit of work. They look too even, and they are a touch small. I would suggest, at least, to paint some of them in green, in small, irregular patches. Possibly, also make some of the light ones, a little bigger. I'll try to upload a picture to show what I mean.

Maybe I can clarify a bit what I mean, I've taken a photo from Militairia-Net, who produce reproductions, but it is the clearest image I could find, whilst I'm not at home and away from my reference books.

I have tried to indicate on the picture of your side car passenger, what I mean.
The Yellow ringed area, I would cover all the light spots with a green.
The green ringed area, I would leave as is. ( or maybe enlarge some of the light spots, but that is hard to judge from the photo)
The blue area, I would, if possible, try to make it lighter, like the other blue ringed area.

Oh, nearly forgot, those muddy boots look outstanding.

I’m happy with the peadot tbh, It’s never going to be 100% and my reanactor guy liked them so that will do me. The problem is they are dirty so you can’t make out the green enough but hey ho. I could add in a few more patches but I’m reaching burn out.

I need to paint the magazine drum panzer grey or dunkelgelb

Looks good, really good. Just one more before the melt down, you can push your self for that last dash to the finishing line!

Cheers Simon

The weathering and mud work on the R75 is really standing out very well, Dave. That engine work is superb. Whether you intended this or not, (cause I always forget to do this) I can see the faded paint work on the high points drifting into the darker shades lower down on the structure itself. It looks like a color modulation process was used and that really gives great depth to the bike itself, very realistic. And hey, if ya didn't do it like that, it sure looks that way to me;):D

And I hear you on burn out, Brother. My next project is an Indy Car to break up the routine, for just a little bit, then back at it.

Ruck On, Dave, this is Master Class work!

Thanks for your support Steve.

It was intentional, I used a black, burnt umber/sepia mix to, darkest at the bottom and then less so in to the camo, if only to accentuate the weathering. I’ve got more mud to add and loads 0f finishing touches yet.

Defo taking a break from the last figure, just to get back in to focus.

Thank you very much for your kind and encouraging words guys.

Well my mini break did not last long and I managed to put all my plane tree base colours down. I need to add in the very light green to areas in the green. I will also add the touch of autumn cam on the front where you can see the revers.Once dry I will then build layers of highs and lows over the folds of each colour. Once that’s dry I give the deepest folds a final dark wash and then hit the whole lot with ultra fine deck tan to fade before final weathering.

The variation in the colour brings it together I think and adds another layer of interest.
