Put this together with blu tac to see how it looks. Put the "stitch" decals on that I got from the Gothic one (thanks Mark) a fiddly job but I think worth the effort. Still a fair bit to do but I think you'll get the idea.
Carl.

Really nice

I love this figure it's very poignant.
Very well painted. I take it the boots are still to be done as they were a dark red/brown leather.
I love the base as well I thought about doing something similar for mine but couldn't fit it in. Placing it diagonally was the way to go. Excellent stuff.

Hi Carl,

Love the paintjob on the uniform, but I would suggest you have another look at the larger grass/ weeds at the rear. They look unnatural and are too clumped together. May I suggest you thin them out a bit and shorten them a bit.

Apart from that, I'm loving where this is going.

Thanks for the positive comments. I think you're right re the grass Tony, it does look a bit "staged" I'll have a re-think on that.
Cheers again,
Carl.

Coming along real nice Carl, your idea for the base work is very effective and ties him into an airfield theme.
All he needs now is a load of cigarette butts at his feet.

Looking forward to seeing more of this one.

Steve

Carl,

Great job on the figure! I'm not sure what time in history you are creating, so will only offer this. The flag was not present for "Operation Overlord" in Normandy. It was for "Market Garden" in Holland. This was with the 101st Abn. Div.
I look forward to seeing it completed.

Nick

It's going to be "Market Garden" Nick.
Thanks for looking,
Carl.

Carl, it's coming along, nice to see it built up although I know there's still a lot of work left to do, some great painting so far.(y)

Cheers Ken

Looking very promising, Carl! You have an amazing, enviable collection of good figure kits.

Look fwd to finished result!

Hi Carl; nice painting on this one, I especially like the colors and the natural transition you did between shades and highlights. Question of a curious mind, do you know what the guy is carrying in his long case?

Cheers
