I can only repeat what you have said - aka eye detail at 28mm (incredible)

I have to say i am enjoying painting these little fellas.

I have painted the Bear fur Bags, jist need to add last lights and paint the white tassel.
Swords and scabbards are done, i generally use Testors enamel Gold for Brass, once dry i give it a wash of Vallejo Sepia and then highlight with the base color some edges.
For silver swords i use Testors enamel silver and vallejo black wash or Army painter Dark tone wash.
Scabbards are done as well as bayonet holster.
I did add a strong dark blue/ black shade and outlined some areas of the uniform, tomorrow i will add the last Blue lights.
Red turnbacks are almost done, i need to add the lightest red/orange paimt to accentuate the edges of the turnbacks.
Muskets had a base of Vallejo Iraqui Sand, then a couple of Vallejo Smoke for the wood grain, i normally add a little bit of water and build up the color gradually.

Hi there, yep it seems better - I think my old bottle with it getting to its last drabs in it and age - over Three years old, was probably the reason it was not working, with my new bottle I put just the one light bruhed coat over my latest figures and it covered and flat quite well - will need a few more light coats though (and adding your advice about adding it to my paint layers in my wet pallet - I will deffo do.
