Looking good, being on the base makes a big difference and the mass effect as you add more will be great. Love the detail you get into these little fellas.

It is hard to say by looking at it only with these 4 figures, but i want to take my time to give it an Euro look to the groundworks

Since i can get my hands at my usual green self etched primer yet, i am using the brush on Vallejo white primer, gave these chaps 2 layers and then using Scale 75 Abyss Blue, a very dark Blue, beautiful color and very Matt.
I al sure W will take note on this color ;-)

Sometimes i womder why i get to complicate mysepf adding stuff...but i do .
I realized i bought 2 extra Flagbeares from before, since this regiment only carried the Regimental flag and no colonel Flag then i have 2 figures with no use.
So, i decided to do a little conversion.
Clipped the bear fur hat and modified an extra tricorne hat i had from Black Hussar miniatures, did some magic and it fits well on the figure.
I've got rid of the lapels and lace, built up the top front of the coat, added the Gorget and for now 2 buttons.
The purpose for this figure will be as an additiin to a Marshal and mounted officer i have ordered from Minden along with another 8 troopers.
I generally add some other figures , generally officers from other Regiments alomg with high command, that gives the Vignette some variation in uniforms as well as little scenettes within the Vignette.

Looking good, glad it's not just me who likes to tinker with figures and produce something different. The Svale 75 paints are great, I have the Abyssal blue but use their even darker Deep blue for uniforms.

This is my total Blue collection from Scale 75, and i love them.
Their reds are not really my favorite.

I have layed the basic colors on for the bear fur hat, flesh, red and blues.
I did first lights on the blue coat, still need to add last 2 lights and increase shade in some areas.

I have painted most of the basic colors, including the eyes and finished the bear fur hat except the bag and tassel.
Tonight i had little time so i decided to lay the base color for the Natural leather cartridge Box.
This time around i am using a different mix than before, Army painter Mummy Robes, Vallejo Iraqui sand and a dab of Army Painter Tanned Flesh .
Once the base color dried out i mixed some Vallejo Red leather color well diluted and a little bit of vallejo shade Burnt umber.
You may be able to notice some difference of the basic color ( extreme left , first 2 figures) and the rest of the cartridge boxes with a few light washes.
