Face almost done, need some last lights,
Powdered wig and hat are next.
Layed the Blue for the coat with a Mix of scale 75 ocean Blue and vallejo Royal Blue.
For the reds i am using vallejo game scarlet red which is a dark red rather the a true scarlet ( orange/red).

Hi Daniel

Nice update , seeing the colour on him ......do you make any allowance for the scale when choosing the intensity/ brightness of the colours ?

This fellow definitely has the character

Thanks for sharing the updates

Looking forward to seeing more

Happy benchtime

Thanks Kev,
As for your quesrion regarding the scale and brightness of the figure, i do not altee the base color but rather i increase the contrast between lights and shadows up to 40mm size figures, 54mm and up i tend to go a little subtle.
Cheers!

Face and hair is done,
Still need to work on the bowtie and hair bag.
I added a darker wash of blue to the entire coat and painted the lace.
As usual, thesilver white lace is a Mix of vallejo Metal Medium, vallejo silver grey, Army painter chainmail and a bit of Ultra Mat varnish.
Still need to trim with black aroun the edges.
I have added a hand and carbine on the right arm.

Crickey I put my phone down for a couple of days and there goes another great figure. Love the colours on this and the lace really stands out.

Cheers Simon

Thanks Kev,
As i am used to, i have started them with grey paint to make them white and remembered half way that they were supossed to be red :-(

I have finished the horse blankets,
The yellow i picked is a mute yellow since the pictures i have for reference show them that way.
I am using vallejo Iraqui sand and a couple drops of vallejo yellow ink.
The lace on the blanket i have glued on strips oflead foil.
I added the texture with the handle of an exacto knife , cutted and place them onto their blankets.
The officers of the King's Household rode in Grey Horses, since the Standard bearer is an officer i have painted the bae color as grey, still need to work on lights and shadows.
I added the Horse Reins usimg lead foil as well.
Length of the coats have been increased a little
