Finished the kettle drummer today.
I've place the figure and horse on the AWI diorama just for picture purposes.

Hi Daniel

Just lovely result , the drums and the lacework are a great piece of painting , again you've got individuality in the face

Thanks for sharing this update

Look forward to see the piece in situ with all the other splendid pieces

Thanks Kev, slowly but surely , it will look nice i hope.

The officers wore a liberal amount of lace on their uniforms, so, a painstaking process to add it all.
I also cutted his right arm and repositioned with somglue and putty, that way the arm holding the sword will lookas the officer is in the typical pose of a snobby officer.
I am planning to have 4 troopers, one officer, one standard bearer and already have the Timbalier.

Hi Daniel

Nice to see the horses being done , troopers look good , putty work is really well done and it shows on the officers lacework...very effective

Is that the horse the officer will have ?

Thanks for sharing

Thanks Kev,
The horse will be a slightly different for the officer.
Cheers!

This whole project got by me - sorry I was not in on the early stages.
Another outstanding conversion job on these Guards.
Years ago, Greg DiFranco was quoted saying "Historex is essentially a medium". Daniel, you are demonstrating that, in your hands, Sean Judd's Trident sculpts are just a starting point for the projects that lie in your fertile imagination. I admire your fearlessness in using whatever is at hand to create your own figures. It is a pleasure to watch these projects come together.
All the best to you and your family. Stay safe, and sane, during this most unusual year!
