Great work on the yellow, Ice Yellow is a very useful colour I find. Considering the size of your figures and that you mixed two types of putty there must be a fair amount of wastage because there is a limit to how little you can mix unless you have really tiny hands.View attachment 494998
My old putty palette, it got a bit unwieldy so I started a new one but somehow I don’t want to get rid of this one!

Cheers Simon

Ahhh, that palette is a work of art, i wouldn't dare to get rid of it :)

These two Commanders are almost done.
Added their walking sticks and finished their boots.
All left to do is the fleshtones for GW's face and hands, then place them on the field.

A likely looking pair, obviously plotting some nefarious deed, oh yeah its 4th July I remember now! They do look good though.

Cheers Simon

,,,there must be a fair amount of wastage...

There's always some putty left over, and you know what I do with it? I make loaves of bread in 54mm. ;) One of these days, I want to model a Prussian field bakery, and maybe the portable small ovens our provincials had with them in camp. So in the meantime, I've got loaves I can stick in the display. Or sometimes, it's a little blob that becomes an apple in a soldier's hand, or a cheese on a table, things like that.

Prost!

By the time I've got to the left overs stage the putty is becoming unworkable or I've rou out of enthusiasm.

I like your thinking Brad,
That is the way to go and use those leftovers.
I do not like to throw stuff away.

Awesome, love the number of figures you get into your dioramas and the detail on each one is great, looking forward to seeing more.

Cheers Simon
