Roger!... so was I... The last of the 'Plantagenet's, and the last King to die in battle!... Bloody Tudor's!... It must merit something, even after 500+ yrs!

Del, True enough!...... Money! has always been, and will always be, the key to winning or losing any conflict. ... but at what price?.. there is always a price to pay.

Reminds me of the, Order of the Knights Templar!.. and Phillip 1st of France!

I've been following with interest as Richard spent his early days near here at Middleham Castle. I seem to remember there was a discussion whether he would be reburied in either Leicestershire or Yorkshire.

Roger.

Was thinking more about the lack of a horse ;)

Roger!.. I know Middleham Castle very well!.. not much in the way of Acre's,... but, What a powerful looking structure!.. the Outer-walls, and the, inner-keep! with not a lot of ground btween the two!.. (From N/Yorks). Then whipped off to the Black-Sheep, at Masham!.. Happy days. are the Auctions still going on at Bedale?

I tell you what though!.... it would be a fitting place to be buried!.. better than a Leicester car-park!... Although King John is interred at Worcester Cathedral, so where???

Very interesting. I got into reading about Richard III after being having to read Josephine Tey's _The Daughter of Time._ back when I was an undergrad. I have since of course re-read Shakespeares play. Interesting stuff.
