I have been building this fella alongside my Tirailleur Senegalese chap. The base figure is a stripped down Historex one with a resin Historex head. I used my usual post it paper for the lace, pack straps and trouser seams. Painted entirely with acrylic over a rattle can car primer base.

Very nicely done indeed. You did a great job on a rather fetching colour scheme......

Cheeky fellow, hiding this one while you build your Senegalese! :D This is another great figure, Simon! A great choice of subject, too. The Spanish provide so much color across so many time periods.

Prost!

Thanks Brad, some very colourful uniforms I will certainly be doing more, not sure where I would stand politically on the Carlist Wars, but they do provide some cracking subjects.

Cheers Simon

Merryweather, Malc, Rocco, Gary, Przeborz and Nap, thank you gentlemen very much, I am very pleased you all like it, I don't know much about the period but love the look of the uniforms.

Kev, sorry to hear you have been enjoying the gentle ministrations of the NHS, hope it's nothing serious and you are on the mend? No I don't have that book, in fact very little reference other than what I find on line, it's enough though and yes I do have more lined up waiting to start.

Cheers Simon

Hi Simon

I donated over 2 pints to our kitchen sink .....and other areas of our house before being whisked off by a rather tasty paramedic.....all topped up now ...just tired

...lots to try and catch up with !

I’ve got lots of references if you every need anything looking up .....I’m reasonable ...lol

Look forward to seeing what your next project will be

Have fun
