Well its been a while since I posted in here and almost a year since I've painted anything.
So the mojo meter passed through "Meh, can't be bothered" to "get yer backside in gear" and I picked this bust off the stash, seeing as it was coming up to Halloween I thought I'd get her painted by the 31st.
So what do we have.
A 1/10 scale bust, comprising 4 pieces, hat, torso, snake and base, there wasn't much clean up but the seams are on visible parts and an annoying one running from under the chin to the lower neck, but Albion Alloys sanding rods and a fibreglass pen cleaned them up
Then on to painting, pre planning wasnt involved in any way so skulls and roses painted, then I had to cut in the base colour.
Then the hat, I forgot what a pain it is to paint gold, of any kind, so out with vallejo gold which will go over the red easily, or so I thought, so painted chocolate brown where the gold would go.
Blended black red at the rear to red at the front
Added cabochons to the detail, used a Molotov chrome pen first, added a drop of Revell UV cured glue then set it with the UV light, then a drop of Tamiya clear colours.
Then painted the top, chocolate brown and black base, gold over the brown, silver over black, sequins added with chrome pen.
And I don't think I'll do any more to that
Hope to get more painted soon.
Regards.
Mick
