I chose Auvergne because the engraved horizontal pockets fit for this regiment, it is a simple flag to paint and I like the violet facings.... then I read up on their history.

Hello, Roger, I've missed seeing anything from you for a while! Another tiny, tiny 30mm! I like your choice for subject for this one, too. I can't recall--will the flag get fleurs de Lys on the cross, or were they reserved for Royal regiments?

I've got some Staddens I'm doing as the Auvergne regiment, for my eventual Minden diorama. I like the facing colors, too, and you're right--the pocket orientation rules out some regiments--and some makers' castings, unless you want to modify them

Looking forward to your finish, especially on the color.

PS--just had a look at the SYW Project page and answered my question about the colors--no flowers. I still can't recall, though, if it was the Royals regiments or even just the household regiments that got them.

Just what Roger needed, draw 96 fleur de lys on a flag for a figure in 30mm.
