I love the pants! How in the world did you manage? Were they as insane to paint as I'm imagining?

Absolutely love the leather, especially the spurs and straps with the dirt on the boots. Fantastic!
 
Thanks Kathryn. In addition to my German and Welsh heritage, I'm also Scottish. As a matter of fact I play the Great Highland pipes. That, and collecting Militaria with a strong emphasis on British regimental regalia, means that I have quite a few examples lying about to source. ;).

Once you are familiar with how a tartan sett is constructed, it is much easier to decipher the variations and translate that to miniature. That, a fine brush, and use sufficiently thinned acrylic! :D
