I got this 1/9th Ellie's Miniatures bust from Nap's Xmas Garage sale the other week, it is one of those busts you wish you had got and never got around to it.

After cleaning it up, my God isn't the resin hard, I had to use a grinding bit on my Dremel drill, I washed and primed him

So I shall start him in the next couple of days.

I keep you fingers crossed Geoff . And I wish you a lot of fun. It's been a few years since I made this bust. And I am always pleased when he appears somewhere. And all good by 2020;)

Many thanks offo, I shall start painting him tomorrow, face/head first. I am pleased you will see him develop.

I have painted quite a few of your nicely sculpted busts, they are a pleasure to paint.

Cheers
Geoff

Hi Geoff

Didn't take you too long to get to this .....looks good prepped up

Following with interest

Happy benchtime

I had him prepped up the day after he arrived but didn't prime him until a couple of days ago, very pleased with him, must just cut some ribbons from some thin lead sheet.

Cheers

Face well up to your usual high standard, Geoff. This particular old codger will be going up to bobos shortly too, even the dog isn’t that bothered about staying up to see the New Year in!

All the best for 2020,
Chris.

Thank you Chris, I tried to give him a weathered salt sea tanned look which I think has worked.

Happy New Year

Geoff

Happy New Year to you All.

First paint applied in 2020.

Citadel Nuln Oil wash over cover on hat and tunic apart from the lighter blue area, then White Grey wash applied to hat cover and shirt and Signal Blue wash over tunic and trousers, German Grey over scarf.

That's it for today.

Hi Geoff

That's come out well ..as expected , the lettering on the capband looks good

Wouldn't mind seeing the display cabinets ......plenty of space in the living room ...just move sofa out !!

Look forward to the Hartmann bust ...definately a WW2 run
