HI everyone;

Just finished this excellent bust this afternoon, between World Cup games, and thought I would share the finished product. I really enjoyed painting this figure with my usual mix of oils on an acrylic base, and would certainly welcome any comments any of you would care to make.

Um...apologies for the extra thumbnail....I am trying to figure out how to get a picture of the post displayed before you open the post, and this is as close as I can come. And yes, I did check out the tutorials, but my computer ignorance defies even those attempts to explain how these things work.

True enough Carl, but all it took was a little patience and a tiny tiny brush. I actually had all the braid work finished up in a couple of hours. Thanks for having a look!

lovely job Glenn on a great figure, nice flesh tones and i like the overall look of this one, very nicely done.

John, Steve, Micheal, Theodoros, Brian, and Tony; Thanks one and all for the kind support. I am especially pleased that you like the whites Tony, as I thought I exaggerated the shadows too much. I think the lighting of the photos may have washed out the whites a bit, toning down the contrast. I suppose the only way to tell for sure is to see it in person.

Rob, Marc and Maurizio thanks very much gents, appreciate the comments. Thanks also to Carl, always a special honour when the sculptor takes a few minutes to to show his approval. I did indeed enjoy painting it:)
