A fabulous figure and a genuine classic. I've seen some lovely versions of it over the years but to date am still to dig my own out of the stash and tackle it!

Following with interest.

Hi Steve, I've been looking at a few versions myself. Most have been set in soil with grass, I thinking along the lines of some stonework.

DON'T PANIC.... I haven't put a big head on the figure, this is the Nuts Planet figure I painted years ago.
Take a look at the mount for the plaque, It's magic sculpt then painted to match the base.
This was a fun piece to paint and even got a medal at Euro.

I'm still in the planning stages of the groundwork for the Pegaso version.
Hopefully I'll be able to provide an update shortly.

Love it, you won't be able to display the current figure on such a precarious base unless you make it from cobalt, since you imitate wood so well this shouldn't be an issue!

Cheers Simon

I'm still mulling over the groundwork, but in the meantime I starting some work on the figure.
I've painted the face, although I will be adding the face guard.
My apologies as the photo is a bit iffy, but hopefully it will give you and idea.
