It cost us an arm and a leg, not mine cos they don't work right well, but we had the CHRIS system put in, kept them hanging on after the initial quote and it became more affordable. But from a winter ice box to a summer sauna it us now quite pleasant all year round. My wife has finally left my studio (dining room) and now works from the conservatory in comfort. Not sure how long we'll be paying it off though!

Cheers Simon

Stuff is happening. I'm just rubbish at photography.

Nice progress. It's a lovely figure and I am sure you will do it justice.

Made some "one-cent stands", since the pose of this fig invites painting much of the detail and toning before completing the build.View attachment 494253 View attachment 494254

Fantastic idea, this is better then toothpick in clay, or double stick tape! It seems more stable and less likely to tip over when using an airbrush or spray can to put on a coat of primer.
Best regards,
John

Thanks John. It's a straightened paper clip pushed into Milliput, stuck onto the coin.

That's fantastic, the colours are great and the subtlety you get on the transitions is nothing short of masterful, glad you're back on this now so I can follow the updates.

Cheers Simon

Many thanks. That's the closest I can get with this phone to the actual colours, which are less pale than the photo implies.

This week off, so am able to do a couple of hours in the morning and make progress on Billy Yank.
Mostly the canteen and strap today.
Face and hair: the shading is in abeyance now, pending the rest of the piece getting done, then I'll review and add darker tones as appropriate.

They're darker than the photo suggests.
