David, Steve, I have six panels only running since Monday but even with the dull skies I am not consuming electricity from the grid during daylight hours. Might change as they gather dust, but if the government wants to help.out because I'm a veteran I'm not going to complain.

Cheers Simon

Thanks.
I've wondered about getting them, but won't discuss further here.

Finally onto shading the frock coat.
Very dark blue, onto dark blue.
Certainly demanding, where light conditions are concerned.
But a flat, grey sky is ideal and progress has been good.
That said, I'm going for a walk now.
Enjoy the bank holiday weekend.
Back at the "bench" later...
75mm scale is becoming my favourite.

Might have to try the natural light as I find the dark blues difficult without a lot of contrast. I like how the creases are sculpted, lots of nice undercuts to shade into and it's looking good.

Right sleeve shaded. Added a bit too much black to start with, but spotted my error and toned it down.
Ho-hum. Not a major mistake.

Lovely neat painting on the cuff detail and chevrons with the shading going through. I always try painting a whole garment or at least the various phases of it in one go just to make sure I keep the mixes consistent. Of course it would help if I could remember the mixes from one session to the next.

How was the walk? Are the Hazel nuts ready yet?

Cheers Simon
