Cheers Guys , I’m reworking the one above the pocket was far too thick ...just the image to add , then put the ribbons all on , details actual medals ....

....and away we go .....basecoating the Scots Guards bust whilst waiting for the putty to fully dry on this one

Happy Benchtime everyone

Nap

Go for it Kev, no bench time for me, the little one is having a sleep over, deep joy!

Cheers Simon

Verbal update

All ribbons in place , actual medals now shaped and drying , once dry will add details where possible!

Badge over pocket all completed

Stay tuned everyone

Nice one Kevin, always good to see you improving these busts with accurate details. It keeps reminding me that I should do the same on some, but I don't have the sculpting skills to pretend I can "improve" someone else work.
Looking forward to see some colour on him.

Hi Henk

Thanks for posting , believe me I only pretend !

Now working on the actual medals .....trying not to rush before they are fully dry !

Once done will prime and then begin the painting

Oh I think not young Sir !

Nap

Why not, you can get academy pieces with a face and correct anatomy, just a case of adding uniform, headdress etc. That's not much more than you've been doing anyway, only down side as I see it is when sculpting ones painting skills get dulled, well mine do.

Hi Simon

I can’t afford to diminish my painting level any more ! .....easier to watch someone who knows what they are doing ...like you

Looking good so far........

Cheers Nigel .......just finishing off the details on actual medals and off we go

Thanks for looking in

Have fun @ the bench

Cheers Malc , your too kind

Look forward to seeing more from your bench

Nap

Sadly not getting much time to spend any time at the bench, we've had the builders in, and I'm still decorating a bedroom. :(
Fingers crossed I can get back soon, that wee pirate needs finishing and I have the AWI figure crying out to be painted.
