Hello Everyone,

I have just gotten back into painting and have started on a Jacobite officer bust. Here are a few pictures. I will try and get better ones soon but just wanted to contribute something. All comments welcomed.

Hey Everyone,

Thank you so much for the kind words. I truly mean it. I don't know if I was in a burn out or just run down from being so sick but I have had to fight to get back to the bench and all of you have been a great help with your work and I would like to thank you all.

I should have him ready for MFCA and I will try to post better pictures soon. Rob the kit is from PJ Productions.

Joe i seem to have a lot of time on my hands for reference work. what would you recommend for tartans?. Is it a case of keeping it simple for the Jacobite ones?. i think I read somewhere that all the really old tartans were, shall we say lost, i.e families killed when the rebellion was crushed. Is this correct?.

Hey John,

You bring up a good question. I had heard or read somewhere that some of the tartans were lost but I am not 100% sure. I will check on it and let you know. What are you looking for as far as tartans? The pictures are on homellop's 90 mm figure. I think it is the painting thread. If you can't find it let me know and I will post them again or send them to you via e-mail.
