Hi everyone again today,
this is my last model. Its painted with oil colours. The "splash-water" is cotton-wool, Revel glue and Water effect from Woodland scenics.
Any comments are welcome.
Thank you....

Hello Milan!

I remember this figure achieved a Silver (2nd place) in mounted figures category at last International Model Show Mosonmagyarovar (Hungary). (I was a member of the jury...)I really like the water effect and the painting of the horse's dapple coat. And it looks better in the flesh!

Good work, my compliments.

Béla

Beautiful horse there Milan. Rider's face is very well painted. With the rest of it, looks as though those colours might need to be matted down a bit. Otherwise, a beautiful job. One to be proud of.

Very Nice
Once again I must consider giving up or work harder he rocks

Nicely done. The water effect is great! Some of the colors, the red of the pants in particular look a bit shiny to me, but over all a beautiful piece!

Thank you for your comment. I paint with oil colour, technics wet-to wet. The clothing is very shiny when I finish the model. I dont know, what can I do whit this problem. When I use matt varnish from Valleyo then I lost some shading.
Can you help me resolve this problem, please.
Thenk you

Taiko my friend excellent work, love the water effect.

I paint with oils and i put the figure in the oven at very VERY LOW temperature for about 30-45 mins. abd i dont get shiny colors!!!!! Try with the next metal figure!!!

Milan,
there are several ways you can dull-down your oils. Try this thread it has lots of good info about drying techniques.

I use oils as well and use Testors Dull Coat when I'm done. I use the spray can type. Some argue this is not the way to go, I think to each his own. I've heard of blow-dryers being used, crock-pots (a cooking pot here in the US), putting it in the oven, and on and on.........I think it's all a personal prefence. But it seems drying booths are quite popular and seem to yield good results. Do a search here on the Planet for "drying oils", I came up with 3 pages of links!!!!!! Good luck!

Whou, super. Thenk you very much. I try out on my next figure. I put the figure in the oven and cook very good dessert....and give you a taste :D :D

the colours are quite shiny indeed. Get in contact with Conny of HZ-forum. He's got something to help you along! He's got a product to get the paint matt. Just dip your brush in it before you paint.
I don't remember how it's called, but he'll knows what you want.

Hello Milan, Conny's stuff is called 'Malmittel zur Olfarben' it's top stuff for matting flats. In additon, it drastically reduces the drying time as well. In my experience it gives oils a drying time similar to Humbrol enamels. And that's no exageration either.
Also Jay's suggestion is an excellent one as well and works very very well, as his great stuff testifies.
