Hi,
I have kept my collection of Figurines magazine which I still enjoy looking back through. Although this now is detracting more towards the fantasy than the Figurine Historique.

I think the old Figurines was good value in it's day - news, decent articles about uniforms, converting etc. and each renewal a decent figure. The new Figurines seems not to be up to scratch, isn't sure of it's identity and I noticed a lot of the excellent former contributors have left consequently, I've let my subscription end. The digital magazines - "Figure Painter" and "Illustrated Hisitorical Artist" have become my must have magazines.

Cheers

I brought my first copy in 1983 and I loved it up until about 2010,but I eventually got fed up with all the armour content and I stopped buying it 8 yrs ago now,I kept all my copies though,so it's great to look back at the old days when the magazine was great.

After my current sub lapses, I won't be getting "Figurines" again.......I agree, too much fantasy for my taste, although the Franco-Prussian uniforms section will be extracted for my files. I get "Traditions" from France, which is excellent, and the same stable publish several Napoleonic titles, so I'll give them a try.
