I've had this Firing Line kit from the early 90's so it was time to get it built. First horse I've ever painted and first attempt at NMM (the helmet and breastplate, in case you were wondering).

I seem incapable of taking a picture in which both horse and rider are simultaneously in focus so these will have to do. May try again later.

Thanks for your feedback, guys.

This kit isn't that well known - produced by a Welsh model company in the 90's and sculpted by David J Parkin. It's a 120mm and supposedly part of a series called "Rape and Pillage" (I don't think there were any others!). Sculptor claims it's based on the local VAT inspector who probably did do some pillaging. I have an SBS in the work bench section on my site for anyone interested.

As promised, a second attempt at taking some photos - only marginally better, I'm afraid:

Hi there,
this kit as well as the highland king fighting the viking mercenary were sculpted for Parkins by the late great Pete Morton !!!
Excellent kits and fantastic sculpting by a sadly missed Artist.
Regards
Pete

The las set of photos are better. The figure looks like an interesting one. While not a fan of NMM, I think you did a decent job. If I may I do see a few pits on the horse.
