Guys, I shall obviously have to be more open with you all.

I have been doing some sculpts, commissions and private work for a couple of great friends of the hobby and this forum.
Until this is in the open, and available for you to spend your 'hard earned cash' on, I can't say more, but it does mean there has been a delay in getting to the in depth painting of my diorama.
so at the moment .....sorry but it's just going to have to wait.
The commitments I have now made must to be kept first, I know you understand, but thank you all for your enthusiastic support.

Hi mate,

you could always take the view that you can sleep when you're dead!

Seriously we fully understand that you're in demand and as always the good things in life are worth waiting for.

Cheers

Huw

Of, course, we could always comment that it won't be "Evening" for very much longer, the way it's stretching out......Hey, you could always turn it into Lady Butler's "Dawn of Waterloo"...... Paul, as Huw said, it'll be well worth waiting for(y)

I can talk,...Ney and his cohorts are taking me a dog's age..

Hows this coming along young Paul.
I was in a pub the other day and saw this on the wall,
I have never seen it before, thought you could do it after this.
Just to balance the books so to speak.

Just came across this thread after doing some internet searching for Evening of Waterloo.

I started this diorama back in about 1995, then got distracted by something else, then had to give up modeling for about 20 years. Now I'm back, and my goal is to finish this work.

I'm intrigued by Paul's adding the two horses to the Berline train. I'm not sure if I have the room on my base, but if I do, I will follow his lead.

I have about four infantry to add to the pile up in front of the Old Guard, then I can move on to painting.

I hope Paul doesn't get interrupted for twenty years like I did.

Cheers.

Geoff

First of all, best wishes to you and your build it's looking great....mine may not be delayed by 20 years, but it's been 3years since I began. :(

It been a pain having to put it off, but I have done a lot of Commercial bits n pieces over the last couple of years that has been a big distraction.

I also stopped in the first place because I had a difficulty with the Berline, in that it needs those gold laurel leaves painted on the coachwork and I needed to work out how.....That's sorted now.

The second reason was caused by the lack of urgency in supplying a high def digital print of the original image from the museum so I could depict the smudgy detail of the bottom right corner correctly

I will get back to it one day soon.
