Do you remember where you stayed in Yorkshire?

Roger

I dug up my old journal from the trip. I always loved reading books by James Herriot, while "in the area" we had to see where his vet practice was. We couldn't find a place close to Thirsk, so we stayed near Helmsley (I think). The place was called Lockton Farm House and was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Easton. The house was built around 1637 and whoever built it was quite short. The man of the house couldn't stand up straight in his own house. It's funny to read it all again, and pick out the grammatical errors.

Probably more than you wanted to know, Roger. :D

Thank you Guy.
Seb, unfortunately when the weather is like this you have to run outside with the camera quickly before it rains:D
Thank you Roc.
Wendy, wow! That was a good idea keeping a journal. Thirsk is about 15 miles and Helmsley 30 from where I live. You'll have to come back and visit this place in Thirsk, http://www.worldofjamesherriot.org/ Better bring Dan with you too. He'll be able to brush up on his Yorkshire dialect:D

Roger,
Great work. I really like this figure. In fact i bought it almost yesterday. But i have a M Model in my shelf and never start it. The resin blocks are big and i'm afread off making damage to the resin.
So, maybe you can help me out off my dilemma with the resinparts.

Marc

Thank you Marc.
The large amount of resin blocks on this kit was the only downside to it. I even went out and bought a razor saw for £15 specifically for the job. A tool I have managed without in the past but now I've got one......
The only advice is pretty obvious really, be careful!! I sawed as much of the blocks off as possible and then used a scalpel to shave off the remainder.
I managed to do it without causing any damage but it was a long and nerve wracking process.
I hope my effort has inspired you to have a go at your M Models figure, which one is it?

Roger

thanks Roger,
When i'm finished the figure's i'm doing at the moment i will give it a try.
I have this figure. But M Models have some great figures, with great casting.

The Dragon has been put aside Ulrich until Jane selects the "correct" red.
I hope she doesn't make a habit of this, we'll have a great time arguing over the correct colour of Confederate grey or butternut on what I've got lined up next.
