I am not familiar with this figures background but the sculpting and detail work is superb. Looking at the position of the MP40 I am guessing, like me, he is left handed?

Andy-> yes, by two kids are lefthanded, so boys decided that this sculpture will be as well

Thinking about the background this is a portrait of the cursed soldiers (also known as "disavowed soldiers", "accursed soldiers" or "damned soldiers"; Polish: Żołnierze wyklęci) is a term applied to a variety of anti-communist Polish resistance movements formed in the later stages of World War II and its aftermath by some members of the Polish Underground State.
