Another small update.
I've done some detailing on the buttons, not sure that I'm completely happy with them at the moment.
The patches have been given a faded and worn look and I've made a start on the keys.

Hi Malc

For what it's worth I like the buttons , possibly blend the highs a tad more

Nice stitching and faded patches

The keys are interesting

Have fun

A little more progress this morning.
As Nap has suggested I've done a little more work on the buttons. Think they're looking better.
In addition to that I 've painted the belt and buckle. Initially painted and detailed in acrylics followed by a glaze of Van Dijck Brown oils.
I've also been working on the keys, although no photos at this point as I'm waiting for them to dry.
Glazes of Burnt Umber and Van Dijck Brown have been applied to dull down and give a more realistic appearance.
I'll probably add slight rusting for effect.

Lovely progress, I think the buttons look much better. Nice bum flap, he must be a punk goblin.......

Oh! You mean the Notre Dame colors? (It slipped right past me to be honest, Malc --- doh!)

Rick

To be honest I selected the colours before I realised the connection. Notre Dame.... really. Nice try.
Think I may have to tone the colours down a little, I'll see how it looks after the trousers have been painted.

The green is a little too blue and bright for Packer green. The yellow needs to be a little on the brown side, IMO ... 'course could always go with purple and white.

I've made a start on the trousers, all in acrylics at this stage. I'll probably add some glazes in oils later.
The keys have been completed. These initially were given a base coat in dark grey acrylics.
Next I gave the surface a light dry brushing with DarkStar Baroque silver.
This was followed by a couple of washes of Burnt Umber oils, and once dry a wash of Burnt Sienna to give the impression of a little light rusting.
To finish off and give a slight sheen, I gave a coat of Satin varnish.
