Trousers first shade applied. They need to be subdued further.

Played around with leaching the dark stone colour from his cowl, to start shading the gambeson.
Okay for the darker recesses and interface, but it'll need a lighter shade for most of the seams.
Light and temperature are dropping now.

Italian rugby is on the up...

It's going to take a subtle touch with the cowl but it's looking good.

Cracking result for Italy, must be their best 6 Nations ever, good job the time ran out because Wales played a blinder at the end.

Another Sunday morning archery session rained off.
Bloody weather.
It's gonna be sunny tomorrow. When I'm back at work.
Bollocks.

Humbrol enamels and chilblains in the conservatory.
At least the weather stayed on-course, removing all doubt about what to do this morning.
Which is basic-shading the gambeson. View attachment 488207

That's coming out nice, must admit before you added the shade I was having trouble seeing the creases but now they are rather well designed. It'll come out a treat in the end.

Saturday night: I've had three beers with dinner.
And, after giving the subject serious thought, have decided to have a sloe gin as well.
This comes with consequences, but on balance - and given the timing - is worth the small risk.
A votre santé!

Plum gin probably ain't that different from sloe. Same genus of trees.
I can't drink gin unless it's infused with fruit and sugar.

I'm the complete opposite, as much as I enjoy some flavoured gin I firmly believe gin should taste like gin, even neat as a sipping drink I like it. Yeah I know I'm a lost cause.

Cheers Simon
