Hi Simon

Saw this at Bugle Call ...looks even better now you’ve got the paper and scissors out with the lacework

Helmets looking good as well

Looking forward to seeing more

Happy benchtime

Victor, Rob & Kev, thank you gentlemen he is getting there so I'd best start thinking of a base for him. I have to admit I'm rather chuffed with how he's going so far.

Cheers Simon

Thanks Malc, there is a lot going on with the helmet, it all seems very crowded and a bit top heavy. Mind if I give him arms it will balance out a bit!

Cheers Simon

It only shows what a good print of the subject, plus a lot of imagination can come up with. I applaud your tenacity.

Thanks Malkie, Pintrest is a huge source of inspiration for me, that is where the image starting this project came from. Then it is the challenge of bringing into 3D and trying not to cock it up too much.

Cheers Simon

I also find Pinterest a useful source for illustrations, I have saved loads, they all have a certain inspirational value.
The only problem is the sheer volume of inspiration, compared to how it was back in the 70's onwards when there was very limited visual reference freely available we are spoilt rotten. Which of course is great.

Cheers Simon
