It only shows what a good print of the subject, plus a lot of imagination can come up with. I applaud your tenacity.
The only problem is the sheer volume of inspiration, compared to how it was back in the 70's onwards when there was very limited visual reference freely available we are spoilt rotten. Which of course is great.I also find Pinterest a useful source for illustrations, I have saved loads, they all have a certain inspirational value.
Oh I learnt that lessons quite quickly, I end up squishing what was done first just to get a little bit more done. Not something I want to repeat!Good to see the various stages of progress, I'd be terrible trying to do it in one sitting.
Malc
Quick up date, nothing too interesting just started adding his arms. Also been looking at the recently acquired Osprey book on Westfalia and Kleve-Berg and that has his aiguilettes on the right shoulder as opposed to the Pintrest illustration I have. So I think I'll stick with a trusted reference source than an unknown illustration.
