If I could commission a one-of-a-kind figure, I'd have to choose between:
- 'Russell Crowe' on the white horse from the arena scene in Gladiator, where he's attacking the charioteer; or,
-Boudicca on horseback
What about you?
Mary

I like the Gladiator on the horse a lot! I am in if someone will release it in 75mm.
Other than that, I do not know if I could decide to pick just one subject for a commission. I have too many interests.

A for real, actually researched (not Hollywood) assaulter from SEAL 6. I would want it in either 75 or 120 mm. Proper stance and anatomy along with equipment and weapon loadout.

First thing that comes to mind is this:
But I know there are allot of ideas rolling around my grey matter

I think Brave Sir Robin and his entourage would be a lot of fun. Also would consider having the Fourth Doctor and Romana (Lalla Ward) done as a set. :awesome:

A group of us in the British Flat Figure Society got together and have commissioned the production of two releases so far with more on the way. I'm sure it would be possible for some of you to get together and organize the production of a round fig. You would obviously need a greater initial outlay of money than for a flat figure but it could be done.

Roger.

I love literature so I would commission a figure of a famous author or poet. A good subject would be Lord Byron in Albanian dress, 1813.

Roger, I've never seen a figure of Byron - I'd be interested to find out though. Shame there aren't more literary figures. Not sure how popular they'd be but figures of the Romantic poets and the WW1 poets would make good subjects I think.

For absolute certainty my commission would be Beau Brummel..the famous Dandy man. But only if he was 110 percent researched, had proper stitched leather in his breeches, correct riding boots for the period and he was adorned the chantilly lace cuffs.
Hope this helps.

After some searching I'm beginning to think I've either imagined it or I'm getting mixed up with the Greek freedom fighter of the same period sculpted by Carl Reid for Y S Masterpieces. Sorry if I've sent you on a futile search or built up your hopes Edward.

What's about a early-latene celt, following the sources?

This celt depicts an warrior, souther germany or western austria, around 400 BC.

I agree with Edward, and I think more literature/classic characters would also draw more women to the hobby. I love medieval and Roman history so those figures appeal to me. I just leave out all the blood:eek:
If your wives got into this hobby you wouldn't have to worry about beating her to the post:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
