Sorry Mike Hanson, I meant following on from Mike Good's comment about blues musicians. Just looked up the Polar Lights set though - love the look of those Yellow Submarine figures! Would be great to paint a set of realistic Beatles figures - would be fun trying to get good likenesses.

I am still waiting for somebody to commission me to do figures of classic blues men, like Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf. C'mon, I'm waiting......:sleep:

Nice idea(y) , what about "the giant" the king of harmonica, Sonny boy Williamson...

Cheers

Hola Colin,

Here you go! It was a one off unfortunately.

As my Father was a hero during the Battle of Britain I would like a figure of him just before he bailed out of his Heinkel Bomber

I gave some more thought sparked by Mike Good's comment and ya, I think Muddy Waters would be cool. Only thing is Eric Clapton would have to be included. Since we are at it, my son would like Robert Plant and Jimmy Page ;)!

Since you're going the musician route, add Alice Cooper to that list. The diorama of the stage show would be fun to do.

If we're down the musician trail, may I add to my wish list? My musical leaning is a little to the heavy side so I'd love to paint some of my fav headbangers: Primarily, Lemmy (Motorhead), then, Tony Iomi (Black Sabbath), James Hetfield (Metallica), Jeff Hannaman & Kerry King (Slayer) and the late Cliff Burton (Metallica). Very animated poses, cool guitars and basses, lots of black leather and spikes, tattoos and long hair. The only thing would be mixing up a realistic looking colour for faded denim.

Memories of a wasted youth and the dream of being a rockstar:cool:

An interesting thread. My choices would be:

1. A history of French heavy Cavalry 1792-1815. I have gathered most of the Historex parts to build this but not started yet.
2. Based on a Rousselot painting - Cuirassier General and staff
3. A couple of choppers with a biker riding it (some a couple of interesting ones in the Paris show in 1996). As an aside another project in the offing - i recently nought the Miniart motorcycle Repair Crew as it contains 2 Harley WLAs - the basis for early choppers.
4. Music - Motorhead, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Dee Sneider of Twisted Sister or my pin-up since childhood Suzi Quatro

And no I am not related to Chaos Cossak though he seems to ride a fine machine too!
