I have already had my favourite made for me, Marshal Zhukov on his white charger at the Moscow victory parade in 1945. However, I am with Carl for a 120mm Chavasse this would be brilliant, even a bust would do me

My dream vignette would have to be Repin's painting of the Zaporozhye Cossacks flipping off the Sultan... greatest painting ever!!! Failing that, a mounted Zaporozhian Cossack or this old cossack street musician... a great character.
Anyone noticing a theme here?

First on my wish is would be a 90mm or 120mm mounted figure of Ben Johnson as Sergeant Tyree from the film She Wore A Yellow Ribbon
This one could be achieved if I could find a 90 or 120 head to represent Ben Johnson .
Then I would like three busts of these great old actors
Gaby Hase , Jack Elam and Arthur Hunnicut (the one next to Gary Cooper )

If money was no object, figures based on the Stand of The Last Eleven at Maiwand by Peter Archer. It was commissioned by my old CO and featured faces of men from my old regiment, one from every rank up to Subaltern (but not me). Always had a hankering to try it.
Agree most heartily with Chavasse, especially as the RAMC are once again in the thick of it.

I think these would make good pieces. Although the sense of despair would have to be conveyed in the painting.
Carl.

I think Brave Sir Robin and his entourage would be a lot of fun. Also would consider having the Fourth Doctor and Romana (Lalla Ward) done as a set. :awesome:

What would I commission....a hit....you know who you are..... but you don't know when :sneaky:
Oh! as to models I think a Doctor Who series would be brilliant.

Signing off ..... but I'm still watching you.

I would like to see civilian figures in 1/24, 1/25 th or 75mm scale created. These figures would follow the look of the 50s, 60s, 70s.etc. Besides painting figures, I build and paint model cars and there is such a drought of appropriate figures. Next time you are at model comp. or display you will notice no drivers in those beautiful cars. Here is an opportunity for sculptors to take advantage of a market not yet exploited, go for it.

Great Idea,

A greaser for a chopped and channeled '50 Merc or a gent with driving gloves and a scarf in an old Triumph convertable. For me, a long haired, bearded biker for a 1:24 Panhead chopper.

Excellent Idea(y)

Thanks Gordy...as one of the few women here I like to get the guys thinking:D
There were some good laughs on the 'after we're gone' thread

A REALLY cool WWII American Tanker.
Ya, I know another one, but this time the lead character from the movie Sahara. Humphrey Bogart as Master Sergeant Joe Gunn :)!!

Colin,

Marion and Alan Ball made a diorama/vignette of that very painting. It was absolutly fantastic and won Best of Show at the recent Atlanta show. I am certain pictures will start to surface in the next few days.

What would I commission? It would have to be a 90mm series of ancient commanders, PhillipII, Alexander, Hannibal, Darius, Xerses, etc Think of the colour!

I did once do a commission of Royal Irish Hussars showing the regimental history for a retired company director who was in the regiment during the war, that was interesting!

Following on from Mike's comment, it would be great to see some musician figures. I'd love to paint one of John Lennon..

Hi Edward, great idea particularly in 90mm. I did do the Polar Lights Yellow Submarine Set as a group for a charity auction a few years ago and I think their four figures of Kiss are still around somewhere!

Anders,
I would love to see that... Let me know when you see anything. Was it a one-off piece or made for commercial production?
