Hello, Everyone!
I do hope everyone of you and yours are all fine and safe.
This cannot last for good, but at least I presume many of you are doing the most of this time mounting and paintng our beloved figures, allowing some space for future purchases.

I was always told how good Pilipili was, but I was never too appealed by the Indians topic.
Some time ago, at PF, I bought a started samurai (bust), very nicely started by the way.
Now, I have decided to complete it and I am amazed. I wonder who the sculptor was (my good friend Fernando Garrido, De Tara sculptor told me years ago, but I cannot remember it), as the bust cannot be better.
I'd like to get to know more about his work and I hope it's not all Indians!

I attach a pic of the bust.

Thank you in advance and best regards,

Iñaki

Thanks a lot.
Love the Zulu, the tea girl and the musketeer.
Did he also did the 90mm Polish winged Hussar (now shown on the catalogue)?

Loved the Pilipili busts , still got the Celtic Hornist , and a couple of others ......

Never got the samurai ...wish I had now !!

Look forward to seeing the WIP getting restarted

Happy benchtime

Stay safe

Nap

PiliPili came out when I was having a break from modelling. I am now collecting the ones I want via eBay.

I have bagged the Daimyo bust, Tomoe Gozen bust, Mongol bust and two of the Native Americans.
I also managed to get the 90mm Tea House Waitress.
Only one I really covet now is the Kyoto Belle bust.

Thanks, Nap!
Too shy to share my paintings, compared to the talented works shown here
Nothing that can help others to improve.
But... I'm enjoying it a lot:)

And this bust made me think that modern technology maybe improves the production costs, but I can hardly see better figures than those ones I like so much from the 90s (Poste militaire, Grieves...).
This can be a good topic to discuss. Great sculptors today as well, but I don't see a big technological advance in terms of quality.
In fact, white metal and "strong resin" (like Le Cimier) almost gone, we can hardly find today those standards of quality.
We still have CGS, for instance, as a rare avis keeping high standards.
Anyway, cheers on Pilipili!!!!
