Aaron, great sculpting SBS and a great looking character, was it Wellington who called his troops " the scum of the earth" he certainly looks a rogue.
Can I ask why you're doing the shako separate, is he going to have a choice of headgear? Will follow progress with interest.

Hi,

thanks for the comments,

I just prefer sculpting headgear sep I suppose , its a natural break and as the shako as a few fragile bits on it will make casting a little easier.

I'd also thought about making another soldier with the same shako. A choice of headgear would be easy and a nice touch, I'll have a look at the options.

Good stuff I like the crows feet around the eyes, how did you do the stubble effect ?

I've got a tiny wire brush I made out of copper electrical wire and a brass tube, to make the stubble I sort of dug in and flicked the polymer clay lightly.

Hi Steve,

No this is just a personal project, when I'm finished I'll put him up on my site for sale and contact a few possible buyers.
