Lost a bit of confidence in figure painting of late but enjoyed this one. It's a 3d print and the detail is quite something. The title is from a Matthew Harffy novel. The main character is Dunstan, a former warrior now in his forties and once in the service of King Ecgbert and part of a band know as 'The Wolves of Wessex.'
The bust is marketed as a Viking but I decided he was a Saxon. Hopefully I've done it some justice.

Hi Paul

Great to see you painting and posting , always good to see , looks a detailed piece so lots going on

I see confidence in the painting , very neatly done and looks good , liking the leather ...did you use inks ?

Think I would paint the end band of sleeves in a leather but that's me

Certainly looks like you enjoyed the benchtime

I used the Vallejo Wood and leather paint set. I did think about leather for the sleeve ends but went for a metallic look. I may do another one of these with some variations
