Bob mentioned candy turf in TnT forum once but when I checked at the Hobby Lobby here, they had never heard of it.
I think it comes in different names but believe it to be caspia. Here is a website that has many types of dried flowers alphabetically listed. There are some pictures as well but may be hard to discern.

thanks Bob,
I'll check at Michaels as well and look on the website you provided. I really like the candy turf you used but found it hard to find.

Thanks again
Guy

This is true, I started painting because I wanted a modern British Para (never did find one I liked), no I very rarely move out of eastern european and asian subjects.
Was reminded of a 90mm Falklands Para that I did in the 80s when I read this, but it wasn't until sunday that I remebered who made it!
It was Barton Miniatures, the guys on the Bonapartes stall did tell me who now had their old moulds , but, goldfish time again - can't remember!
They were pretty sure that it was being produced again so if you did still want a modern Para, & can find this one, you might like it? It was the classic "Northern Ireland" pose with the butt of the SLR in front of the elbow if I remember correctly (but I've just said my memory leaves a little to be desired!!)
