I too got lucky enough to score a room for myself. Here is my desk from the right side, the file cabinets are full of modeling magazines.

The other two walls are lined with bookshelves. My wife refers to it as the "Lair"
:)

Thanks Jim, isn't it amazing what our wives call our area. My storage is referred to as "The Closet", where as I have long traded off the armor kits and now just have figure kits and bases on a bookcase I have put in there.

These will be added to the portfolio in a few minutes.

Keith - Hey, whatever works ;) In my case, I recently came across a lot of free space in myplace :)

Anders - Sure, come on down!

Scene of the crime ...after the forensic team left.

Note former pizza oven used for baking putties and drying up oil paints.

I have been busy posting and uploading others that I didn't take one of my own. I roll back and forth between the putor area and the painting desk. Storage is another area and books are all through the house.

Pete - I too thought Unabomber, looks just like it!

Quang-Looks like a University library! Where's you get that "rach" to the right of the shelf image?

One of the conditions to me agreeing to moving after only having been in our previous home for three years was a dedicated studio. Since I ended up having to gut and refinish 90% of the house, I got to start from scratch. Brightness is the theme...

Hey guys,
Here's mine. It's 6 foot by 12 foot. Down in the basement.
The best things I did were to get the glass block window with a small window for venting the spray booth and the wall with the door (not too visable here) is all pegboard. Makes for tons of hanging storage.
The workbench is just old kitchen cabinets with plywood tops. I prefer this height to standard desktop height. Guess it's a carryover from my days at the drafting table :) .
The books and the finished figures and models are in the room on the other side of the wall with the door.
The fishing tackle box has all of my oil paints, brushes, etc. in it. makes it east to take with me when I get together to paint with my friends :).

Here's my favorite spot in the house! It's an addition off the side of the house...right next to the other most important room in the house...the kitchen!

When doing all the work I did myself (plus paying the contractors) wifey had nothing to say about what, where and how I put anything.

Larry-Which picture? There are three.

Thanks guys. I will add the last couple of pics in a few minutes. The Lilliput Forum has also done a thread on work areas and we decided to do a joint venture and I will combine their photo's with our photo's and establish our first Joint venture. Haven't thought of a good title as yet.......any suggestions?

I will post the new link after combining the two together

Hi J.L..
Sorry but no, I don't have any plans drawn up. I sort of built it on the fly :).
What I can do is measure it up and pass that info along to you. Or better yet, give me a couple of days and I'll make up a set of plans.
Craig
