This figure depicts a German Officer of the Royal Bavarian Regiment. He is wearing a Troops Overcoat without badges or rank. He may not not wanted to get his Officer Overcoat muddy? Interesting piece , like the image that inspired the releases

Perfect chance to get weathering the boots, coat etc and use in a trench setting ..perhaps along with other figures as well

Is that a whistle hanging down at the right shoulder ?

Nice piece, and true to the photo (which is new to me and excellent). Back in the day, when such things were legal in the UK, I owned two C.96 Mausers (one 7.63 and one 9mm Para). A more cussed and finicky piece of hardware I've yet to find. Fun to shoot, especially with the stock attached, but a bugger to maintain. Reloaded ammo had to be perfect or they wouldn't play. Heady days
