Robert, just read through your thread and really love your work, modern subjects aren't my cup of tea but quality shines through whatever the subject. I watch and learn if I may.

Cheers Simon

Back to the workbench again…
Picked up the Bigeard project and did some work on Bigeard (hands, maps and walking stick) and started sculpting his
radioman. I have an excellent detailed 3D printed radio from MS. productions and gonna try to use some photoetch for straps and belts.

Hello all,

It has been a while since I updated this thread. Haven't done much sculpting or painting but have been preparing for the SMC event last weekend. Still had to make nameplates for my last figures and make some little adjustments to some figures before entering the competition.
It was a great event, had great fun with my modelling buddies and got two silver medals, one in the historical painters category and one for my whole display in the open/scratchbuild category.
I was very happy to meet Mike the Kiwi in person. He came all the way from New Zealand to the show. He had some of his busts with him and I was very pleased to see them up close. Such great work!

Here are some pictures to share from the show of models that caught my eye the most.

Thanks guys!

Congratulations on the awards, and thanks for sharing the pictures.

I don't suppose you recall who is doing these Japanese?
