Thanks Mike!
I have some ideas for vignettes, some ideas of them very old, but my span of attention is pretty short… Well someday…
Finished the figure today. A quick picture for this thread, gonna take more later for the completed forum.
And a picture of the chaos in its wake.
Thanks all for feedback and support!

No updates but some modelling nostalgia…

I made in total three 1:35 dioramas in 2006-2009.
All with Germans.
Those were my first projects with 1:35 figures after always building 1:72 planes and armor and collecting 1:72 scale figures.

I gave 2 of them away in the early 10’s. One I still have.
One was called Barbarossa with a Krupp protze, 3.7 Pak antitankgun and Dragon German soldiers.
I can’t find any pictures of this one anymore.

The other was called “ the Devils virtuosos”. A friend stumbled on this page and photos from Modellversium from 2009.
Seems like a lifetime ago.

In 2008 I sculpted this 1:35 figure of a lonely British soldier during WW1 about to be executed..blindfold and alone..
No pictures anymore besides this one from the photoreport of SMC show where it was awarded in the open class. Made me really proud.

Hello all,

Finished the groundwork on this IDF tanker in 1973 during the Yom Kippur war. The tank track idea didn’t work so I used some items from the AK IDF accessoires set.

More pictures are added in the completed forum. https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/idf-armored-brigade-tanker-yom-kippur-1973.569010/

Started to work also on a figure of col. Bigeard during the Indochina war using the excellent head of him from Blast models.
Uniform will be based on this beautiful artwork from Kevin Lyles and article from Military Illustrated.

Hi RJ,
I'm definitely following you on "Bruno's" progress.
Hope you can relax in Greece and won't get burned to a crisp...
Karl

Thanks Karl,
I got Bruno on my mind for a long time to do (again). I painted the Blast figure once but wasn’t happy about it anymore and stripped it to use the head for this figure. Wanna do a Langlais also….
Its pretty hot in Greece right now literally, our Island is still safe. Fingers crossed.

nu pas zie ik dat je van Nederland bent :)
Mario
Jazeker! Je kan dus gewoon in Nederlands met me spreken, of Fries, wat mijn eerste taal is.

Holiday in Holland..shitty weather today and it will the same the coming weeks. Can’t wait to get on the plane Thursday off to Greece. Well change of plans today.., watching the women’s worldcup game Australia against Canada and spent some time painting on our Bigeard friend.
prepainted the telphone and part of the hand first before attaching it. Needs some sculpting on the arm next.
