Hi all

This is my latest sculpt. This project started with a picture of that weird hat, and when I dug deeper into info about it I discovered some really interesting facts and stories. Wermlands konglige fältjägare ( royal wermlands light infantry) was used as s sort of Task Force by Sweden during the Napoleon Wars, participating in both the war against Russia 1808-1809 and in the later German campaign with the final assault on Leipzig as a sort of Grand finale. The Jäger later took part in the Norwegian campaign 1814, and this figure depicts a Jäger during that war and the battle of Lagnes Skans.

It's sculped in Magic sculpt with some details i Green stuff. The head is from hornet and the M1808 rifle is a slightly converted Baker rifle from Reedees Miniatures. Painted in Vallejo Acrylics.

Best regards Lars

Great piece Lars! Even though the subject is so obscure (or maybe because it is), I think this is my favourite sculpt of yours... so far.
Great sculpt, dynamic pose and awesome paintwork.

Keep it up

Colin

The figures relating to the Scandinavian armies in the Napoleonic period are very rare. Good job!

Lovely work, truly inspirational.
One question please, the head is 1:35 series or 1:32 Hornet catalogue?
Thanks in advance.

Pedro.
