Good morning sir, thanks and I usually overdue the highs and lows but this time I tried to keep them a little more subdued and now thinking they are not enough.

I've noticed that some of his figures are indeed self-portraits.

Good morning sir, thanks and I usually overdue the highs and lows but this time I tried to keep them a little more subdued and now thinking they are not enough.

For what it's worth, I think it looks good as it is. Getting that balance can be tricky sometimes, especially with oils when you lose some of the contrast as the paint dries out.
