I have finished the blue on the sergeant's coat, finished the red on 2 of the swiss and added their mustaches....

And starting to put some color on this chap.
The undress uniform of the French guards was a very elegant uniform, it consisted of a royal blue coat with red cuffs, red vest and pants, the stockings were red, but if they wore gaiters would have been white or black ( winter), before the 1730's they wore red.
The lace was silver.

Excellent bit of conversion work on the officer looks like he is keeping the troops in line

The Sgts coat looks really good the highs aware particularly nice ...as for the reds ..always good ..like the moustaches

I have the osprey book which provides a great description on uniform details.

Finished the coat, lace , face and hat .
Next it will be the halberd and shoes/sword.

The red on the swiss almost done, need to trim that lace and work on their faces.....
