While i am finishing few of the left out guards, i decided to jump to make of the the conversions i want it to do for a while.
I am planning to have a group of drummers as the famous paintin of the Battle of Fontenoy .
One of the main figures i admire is the drum major of the guards, i think the pose on the painting gives the proper " Nose in the air , proud and cocky" air of the Major in charge of the guards.
And for that conversion i decided to use a figure with a similar pose.
It is a british figuro from Triguard that i will convert .
Started the conversion by clippimg off the hanging musket on his back,
Then, #1, heated the figure off for a couple minutes, that way i was able to easily move the arm a little lower without damaging the figure.
#2 , i raised his chin a little, giving it a more snobby air and character.
# 3 , sanded his back and torso a little so i can lay the uniform lace with putty later.
# 4 , shortened the coat, i will actually make that a vest and build the coat turnbacks later.
# 5, got rid of the top of the boots and sanded areas , i will build the gaiters later on.
